Should you get a Russian manicure, and are they safe? The Russian manicure has been making an appearance in many salons these days. This style of manicure offers flawless long long-lasting, tucked-in cuticles. As a licensed nail tech with 7 years of experience, I'm here to break down everything you need to know about the "Russian Manicure," so let's get into why you should opt for this type of manicure.

Let's start with what exactly a "Russian Manicure " is. This style of manicure is also known as an e-file manicure, which is a dry technique that uses different types of drill bits to help remove cuticles from the nail plate and to help prep the nail plate so that your manicure lasts longer. I'm sure you are used to the traditional way of removing the cuticles, which is soaking the cuticles with cuticle remover, then pushing back the cuticles with a pusher, and then using a nipper to remove the lifted cuticle. The Russian Manicure allows for a safer and cleaner removal. You will notice right away that the cuticle area looks neat and helps nails appear done longer for weeks.

Without proper training, you could cause damage to the nail plate or worse.

How to maintain your fresh Russian manicure

Like any good nail tech will tell you to do is to wear gloves while cleaning, use use use your cuticle oil, don't pick your nails, skin, and lastly make sure to schedule your nail appointments.

I think the Russian Manicure is one of the best choices you can make. Especially for those who want a perfectly polished manicure that lasts longer than anything you have ever gotten.
