Shows Worth Watching on Netflix

Updated: Feb 7, 2025

It's been a crazy couple of weeks for my family and I . You know the kind of week where everything just hits all at once , like the unexpected things that life throws at you and makes you question reality . What's the saying " when it rains it pours " and MAN did it pour !

It Definitly poured !

I couldn't function ! The lost of a loved one hit me heavy then on top of the other unexpected things life threw at me ... IT TOOK ME OUT !

I canceled all of my appointments and reached out to my clients .It was tempting to check completly out and just hide under my blankets in the dark .

Between all the craziness I found some binge worthy nextfilx shows and movies .The kind that lets your brain take a breather . I found a couple of comedies that made me laugh after a stressful conversation , Or a drama that made so invested I forgot about the stresses that life had brought on .

A SOCIAL MEDIA/WORK UNPLUG MADE A DIFFERENCE

Now the the unexpected things life threw at me didnt go away but being able to unplug even briefly made a difference . I was able to face them with a little more energy .

So ok on to the post worthy Nextfilx shows and movies . Just remember

I'M NO MOVIE CRITIC, These are just my thought on what I watched

I'm guilty !I've watched this series multiple times ! If your going to watch make sure to grab some wine because It's a really good series that will keep you saying WTF in each episode. (I don't understand how someone can be so obesessed and infactuated with multiple people in such a small time frame . Joe is more then just crazy he is...actually IDK what to call him he is just crazy . Season 5 is coming soon so I'm ready to see what happens in this new season.

This movie was a easy second watch for me. Anya Taylor always delivers ! It's a dark humor movie about the restaurant industry and how the wealthy exploits fine dining for status rather than appreciating the art of cooking . The couples , friends and co workers that have signed up for this dining don't really realize what they are signing up for . The dishes that were presented during their dining exprience represents certain things (so make sure to pay attention ). This movie turns into a shocking yet tolerable thriller. If you are squeamish then this film is probably not for you .

  • Back in Action

This was a movie I watched with the family . My kids being older they got bored really after 30 mins , but then again I think teens don't really like any type of quailty time with mom and dad . I thought this movie was really good watch for a friday night in with the family . Seeing Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz in a movie together was somthing I never knew I needed. They played a husband and wife duo that were retired spies and just so happend to find theirself thrown back into that line of work . A bit a family danger, mom and daughter rivalry and some secret spy action are a good combo for a good movie .

  • Man on the inside

Definitly a feel good show and was a easy watch . This show is about a man (Ted Danson) who is widowed. Finds himself helping out this private investigator who hires him to go undercover inside of a retirement home.

  • Squid Games 2

Please watch the first season before watching season two .This series is about a korean game show that is not all that it seemes . The show focuses on debt that people have put their self in and the measures they are willing to take to possibly pull theirselves out . I watched this series in probably two days .

  • On Call (Prime series)

I'm not typical interested in cop shows but I would like to think this one is different. It gives the point of view of the cops body cameras while the two main police patrol long beach . The first season doesn't give a love interest and is not really clear on the villian in the show amongst the police yet . This is only an eight episode season so it was a very easy finish with each episode leaving you ready to watch the next .

What's your Netflix binge worthy shows or movies ? Are these on your watch list or have you watched them already ? Let me know !

xoxo,

Ashley
